COPA-DATA future-proofs its partner program
COPA-DATA has strengthened its ability to grow with its partners in the future. The independent manufacturer of software for industrial and energy automation has redesigned its Partner Community to make it ready for the future. New forms of membership provide additional benefits for partners and more transparency for end customers.
With 240 companies being certified members across more than 45 countries, the COPA-DATA Partner Community already enjoys a large global footprint. Over the years, the maker of the zenon software platform has partnered with a global network of specialists in the manufacturing and energy sectors. The company is now aiming to extend this successful approach with a redesigned partner program. “Our goal is to create a more tightly knit worldwide network of professionals who can support our end customers locally with their expertise in product, implementation and support,” explains Johannes Petrowisch, Head of Corporate Partnerships, regarding the idea behind the redesign.
As a next step, the company is broadening the membership of its Partner Community to include additional members. COPA-DATA has added a new, entry-level membership tier of “Listed Member”. This will enable companies to engage fully with zenon at an early stage. Members can then gain qualifications through a well-rounded member training program. Once companies fulfill the stated requirements, they can enjoy additional benefits as a certified partner.
Qualification initiative for partners
With its expanded program, COPA-DATA aims to push the most up-to-date knowledge about the zenon software platform to a wider audience of members. Activities planned include global partner events and free access to online training courses and tutorial videos. To ensure high quality for its end customers, COPA-DATA regularly validates the status of its partners.
COPA-DATA has also placed collaboration with educational and research institutions on a new footing. “This is intended to help us ensure that institutions receive the support they need to implement zenon intensively and creatively in their research and teaching,” states Johannes Petrowisch. These collaborations with education and research partners play an important role in stimulating innovation in zenon product development.
